If you had told us a year ago that we'd be launching our own product to help kids build emotional resilience, we probably would have smiledโฆ and then said, โActually - thatโs not a bad idea. Let's do it!โ
Weโre parents to two bright and creative kids - one with autism and ADHD, the other highly sensitive. Creating a calm and balanced environment for them to grow, feel safe, and express their full range of emotions has been one of our greatest challenges.
As parents, weโre constantly asking ourselves: How can we do better? How can we support them more meaningfully?
Because at the end of the day, what matters most is knowing that our children will grow into resilient, independent, compassionate human beings.
We want to give them the tools they need to navigate an incredibly fast-paced, ever-changing world. And thatโs a daunting task. But itโs also what sparked the beginning of Miji.
So here we are - launching our first product, with a second already in the testing phase.
The kids are beyond excited and proud. And they should be - theyโve been part of this journey every step of the way: from early brainstorming to prototype testing, offering feedback, and even helping us evaluate card ideas.
Just yesterday, our Bloom Cards were used in their Montessori classroom. Their teacher asked if she could use them in a group activity focused on Big Feelings and Growth Mindset. The children were split into small groups, each working with an activity card. It was one of those full-circle moments that reminded us why weโre doing this.
One of our dreams is to create a classroom edition of Bloom Cards, made specifically for schools like ours - ones that are committed to nurturing emotional intelligence and inner growth in young learners.
We canโt wait to see where this path leads.
Thanks for growing with us.
With love,
The Miji Team
(thatโs us - and the kids!)
